{"id":1104,"date":"2007-04-12T00:03:42","date_gmt":"2007-04-12T05:03:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.terrorware.com\/geoff\/2007\/04\/12\/disaster-show-20060409\/"},"modified":"2007-04-12T00:03:42","modified_gmt":"2007-04-12T05:03:42","slug":"disaster-show-20060409","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blogs.terrorware.com\/geoff\/2007\/04\/12\/disaster-show-20060409\/","title":{"rendered":"disaster show 2006.04.09"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We played at Uncle Festers&#8217; Punrk Rock Night which is like some kind of right of passage for Bloomignton Punk bands, getting out of the comfort of the basement and getting into the murky warmth of the bar.\u00c2\u00a0 This would have made me pretty uncomfortable a few years ago, but I kind of appreciate the novelty. \u00c2\u00a0 Boogdish played and talked fast and crazy and I dare say I was engaged by it.\u00c2\u00a0 Basillica played and to me they sound like Dillinger Escape Plan with violins.\u00c2\u00a0 I think it&#8217;s pretty good, but unrellenting.\u00c2\u00a0 They had this guy who organized the videacy series last year do some projections and they were triggered by a midi unit with triggers connected to the drummer&#8217;s kick pedal and snare.\u00c2\u00a0 A punk band with lots of metal influences called chapstick played.\u00c2\u00a0 After they played I overheard them talking about the migration of people from the city of Detroit to the suburbs, but still claiming Detroit as being part of their identity.\u00c2\u00a0 There&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.terrorware.com\/geoff\/2007\/03\/27\/maps-population-growth-web-art-project\/\">that map<\/a> again.
