VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR PHONE BANKS
\nThe MCDP is looking for volunteers to help with phone banks. If you have
\na cell phone with free weekend minutes, or extra minutes, it would be very
\nhelpful. We’re also using the phones at Attorney Bob Miller’s office from
\n6:00-8:30 on weekdays starting this Thursday, from 10:00-4:00 on Saturday
\nand from 4:00-8:30 on Sunday. We’ll be doing the cell phone calls from
\nHeadquarters at the same times. The calls will continue through Election
\nDay. Please call 336-5875 or e-mail headquarters@monroedems.org if you
\nare able to help.<\/p>\n
Monroe County Voter Registration has thousands of registrations to enter
\nand people are being turned away from Absentee Voting because they have
\nnot been registered yet. They need volunteers to enter data weekdays from
\n4 to 8 pm and weekends from 10 to 6 pm. It would help our cause to assist
\nthem in getting everyone registered. Voter Registration is in the Justice
\nBuilding at 7th and College and it might be a good idea to call first at
\n349-2690, but they need help right away, as in today.<\/p>\n
Urgent Message from Headquarters Coordinator Linda Stafford:
\n Help!!!!! We are soooo busy that we can’t even call people to help. If you
\n can volunteer some time now until the election, please call or drop by
\n Headquarters. We are open Mondays through Thursdays 10 to 7 pm; Fridays
\n 10 am to 5 pm; Saturdays from 8 am to 4 pm. We especially need help this
