i love found magazine and i love this american life, but all their found letters or re-reading of embarrassing letters from the contributors past make me terrified every time i try to sit down and write to someone. i just keep thinking that if someone found the letter in the gutter, or in someone’s trash on move-out-day they would find the words shallow or insincere or cliched or they would see some alterior motive or some subconscious (or repressed) calculation. for once, i’d like to just be compelled to do something without even being able to consider it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
