The Deep Roots Animal Sanctuary recently bought land in Spencer, IN. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of all animals. It is our goal to create a space for healing debilitated and displaced domestic animals as well as local wildlife. The Sanctuary will officially open on April 12th. Here is a list of our events planned for January.
- Jan. 8th – vegan potluck and Deep Roots discussions at Boxcar Books at 6pm
- Jan.11th -movie showing (Killing Coyote about coyote trapping and preservation) at Boxcar Books at 7pm, by donation
- Jan. 19th – Deep Roots work day at the Sanctuary 1214 Rattlesnake Road Spencer, IN (email info@deeprootssanctuary.org for directions), the work day begins at 10am and will go all day
- Jan. 20th – Fur Ball, animal themed masquerade ball with swing dancing and a dance party 7 pm till its done at Space 101 over Subway on the square, $8-20 donations
- Jan. 28th – volunteer meeting and new volunteer call-out at Boxcar Books at 5pm
