factoid: automagic line break in vi so i finally rtfm’d some mailing list about vi and found out how to set the editor so it would automatically break lines after a certain column. not so important for coding, but kind of nice for e-mail. check out http://cantonlinux.org/pipermail/tech/2002-September/002470.html.
