best show ever
i always get stressed when given responsibility for an event or a situation that is already kind of messed up. this sucks and sometimes my stress can be counter-productive. this was the case on wednesday when i got a call from eric asking me to do the carrie nations/k10 show. i didn’t have a problem doing it, but it’s difficult because eric and my band members don’t get along so well which puts me in an akward place.
we moved the show to the hag collective which made things a bit more simple. when i called about that to make sure it was ok, i found that my earlier call to ask whether we could cook for the bands there was already being taken care of by the hags and the hags’ men’s auxilary (jonnie + brian).
the bands showed up and it was awesome to see so many people that i really like and to meet new awesome people. there were the carrie nations, the k10 prospect, some kids who had come up with the k10 prospect who i had met at the weakerthans show in cincinatti and some kids from asheville in a metal twinged hardcore band called resurrectum who hopped on the show, it was good times.
